Falcon Rundown 1.2.2 Changelog

Version 1.2.2 adds reusable custom rundown layouts, richer PDF exports, safer story-editor paste handling and configurable defaults for asset packages.

New Features

  • Custom rundown layouts: Create reusable layouts with Text, Checkbox, Color and Status columns, reorder columns, define colour-coded status choices and attach layouts to rundowns.
  • Custom columns in PDF: Choose which custom columns appear in Script and Rundown exports. Statuses, colour markers and checkboxes now render with type-aware formatting.
  • Asset package defaults: Configure default asset options for INPUT, VIDEO, GRAPHIC and FUNCTION items, including sub-item state, AutoTake, timing and exit behaviour.
  • Improved Asset Manager: New tabs separate assets, default options and external-device settings, with a more spacious scroll-safe layout.

Improvements

  • Cleaner Word and Google Docs paste: Story-editor paste now removes Office XML, hidden content, unsafe markup, scripts, embedded media, foreign styles and event handlers while preserving useful paragraphs, headings, lists, links and basic formatting.
  • Falcon-aware clipboard: Internal copy/paste still preserves Falcon items, sidenotes, functions and asset metadata while regenerating unique IDs.
  • More readable PDF tables: Custom column widths are based on type and label length. Checkbox and Color headers are centred vertically, wrap safely and remain fully readable.
  • More reliable print dialog: Enter and the Print button now use the same range, filters and column selection. Large column selections switch to landscape automatically.
  • Asset selection defaults: Newly selected assets inherit package defaults consistently, and option state is synchronised when the selected asset changes.
  • UI polish: Status fields use a clearer neutral treatment, and offline notices always remain above other modals.

Fixes and Reliability

  • Layout saves and deletes are transactional and use revision checks to prevent silent concurrent overwrites.
  • Destructive layout changes warn how many saved values are affected.
  • Duplicating a rundown now copies its custom-column values.
  • Story and rundown deletion cleans up custom values, with database constraints added for long-term integrity.
  • Changing a column type or removing a status choice clears values that can no longer be interpreted.
  • PDF generation now always closes progress UI and removes temporary content after completion, cancellation or failure.
  • Unsafe URL protocols and untrusted HTML are rejected during external paste.
