Prompter

Prompter displays presenter text from the active rundown and can follow On Air items, scroll automatically, mirror output, and adjust readability for different screens.

What you will learn

  1. Open Prompter from the dashboard.
  2. Confirm the correct rundown is On Air in Director.
  3. Use Go to On Air Element to jump to the current item.
  4. Adjust font sizes and padding in Settings.
  5. Enable mirror mode if the display hardware requires it.
  6. Use autoscroll and speed slider when the operator is not manually scrolling.

Best practices

  • Test mirror mode with the actual prompter hardware.
  • Keep prompter text in the rundown item, not in separate notes.
