FALCON OPERATIONS

Bookings

Bookings reserves people, equipment, vehicles and spaces for a time period and connects them to a production when relevant.

Find capacity

Use the booking list for searchable records and switch to Asset Timeline for a time-based view of resource commitments. Filter by status and date range before comparing availability.

Create a booking

  1. Select New booking and set start and end date/time.
  2. Choose the booker and optionally connect a production.
  3. Add a title or purpose, pickup and return details, contact information and notes.
  4. Add people, equipment, vehicles and spaces to the booking manifest.
  5. Review any conflict warnings, then save as tentative or confirmed.

Status and conflict handling

ConceptHow to use it
TentativeUse while the time or resource selection still needs confirmation.
ConfirmedUse when the reservation should be treated as committed.
ConflictReview overlapping bookings for the same resource before proceeding.
HistoryUse the booking detail to review manifest and handover activity.

Prepare handover

Make the manifest final before check-out begins. Once a booking enters the handover workflow, Operations protects relevant status and manifest details so the scan history stays consistent. Use the booking PDF export when that feature is included in the workspace license.

Avoid false availabilityDo not ignore a conflict simply because a booking is tentative. Confirm the actual requirement with the responsible booker and update or remove the reservation.

Scan from an asset

Scanning a resource label can identify the asset, show relevant bookings and start an authorized booking action. Always verify the booking dates and asset identity before saving.
