Release 0.6.4 - 14th September 2025
We came up with a really nice feature - and a bit of bugfixing!
New features
Comments (Project • Rundown • Story)

A brand-new, lightweight commenting system that works across three scopes:
-
Project comments
Notes about the whole production. A comment button with a counter now appears next to the project title.
-
Rundown comments
Notes for a specific rundown (e.g., show-level decisions). A comment button and counter now appear next to the rundown title.
-
Story comments
Notes on a single story. Each story row shows a bubble button with a live counter; comments can also render as sub-rows beneath tags/notes.
Private vs Public
-
Public comments are visible to everyone with access to the project.
-
Private comments are visible only to their author (they are tagged Private in the UI).
-
Counters include public + your own private comments, and exclude others’ private comments - so totals are meaningful to the viewer.
UI & workflow
-
A slide-in panel (desktop/tablet/mobile friendly) opens from the right for fast reading/writing.
-
Messenger-style bubbles (your comments right-aligned & blue; others left-aligned & gray).
-
Edit your own comments; delete your own comments; users with Read/Write (or owner) can delete any public comment.
-
Sticky auto-scroll: when you’re near the bottom, the panel follows new messages; if you scroll up, it won’t yank you down.
-
-
Inline rendering: story comments can be shown below tags/notes in the rundown list.
-
A “Comments shown/hidden” button lets you filter the sub-rows (toggle Show public and Show private); your choice is remembered in local storage.
-
-
Badges & counts:
-
Counters on project, rundown, and each story update automatically through the existing version-polling, without opening the panel.
-
Counts are not affected by your current visibility filter (they always reflect public + your own private).
-
Access Control
Options: Read/Write, Comment only, Read-only.
We tightened permissions across the app so the UI always reflects what a user is allowed to do:
-
Read/Write
Full editing everywhere.
In Comments: create, edit, delete own; delete others’ public comments (never private). -
Comment only
All editorial fields are read-only.
The comment composer stays enabled so these users can create, edit, and delete their own comments. -
Read-only
Entire UI is non-editable, including the editor and notes; comment composer is disabled.
Users can still read public comments.
Bugfixes
Prod Note Box: Ghost characters & line breaks
Fixed a long-standing issue where the prodNoteBox occasionally saved hidden zero-width spaces and stray s at the bottom.
