New Features
Share Projects with Falcon Play
Falcon Rundown now makes it possible to share an entire project and its rundowns with Falcon Play.
This allows Falcon Play to access the selected project’s rundowns, making it easier to connect planning, scripting, rundown management, and live playout workflows.
New sharing features include:
- Share a full Falcon Rundown project with Falcon Play
- Make the project’s rundowns available externally
- Publish or unpublish individual rundowns from the rundown context menu
- Clear “Published” badge on published rundowns
- New Publish Settings modal inside projects
- Copyable project token for connecting Falcon Play
- Published state is automatically cleared when a rundown is archived
Stronger Lock Takeover
Falcon Rundown 1.1.0 improves how story locks are handled when multiple users work in the same rundown.
The new lock handling is designed to reduce the risk of users overwriting each other’s work.
Lock improvements include:
- More reliable lock ownership checks
- Improved takeover flow when one user takes over a story lock
- Automatic notification when a lock has been revoked
- Safer handling of unsaved local drafts
- Protection against late saves after a lock has been taken over
- Server-side blocking of stale save requests
When a lock is revoked, the editor now safely discards unsaved local drafts for affected fields, including:
- Headers
- Story content
- Custom layout fields
Improvements
Better Mobile Navigation
Mobile navigation has been improved with browser back-button support.
On mobile, the browser back button now works more naturally between:
- Sidebar
- Story view
- Editor
Safer Story Saves
Save requests now include lock information, allowing the backend to verify that the user still owns the correct lock before accepting the save.
This helps protect against:
- Delayed save requests
- Stale editor states
- Accidental overwrites after lock takeover
Summary
Falcon Rundown 1.1.0 is a stability and workflow release.
The most important addition is the ability to share a full project and its rundowns with Falcon Play.
At the same time, the improved lock takeover system makes collaborative editing safer and more reliable, especially in busy production environments.
