Director Layout

Director is the daily control center for Falcon Play. It combines the element library, rundown workspace, live controls, timers, server status, shortcut state, and automation into one production surface.

What you will learn

  • How the left element panel, rundown area, and bottom control bar are organized.
  • How operators move from preparation to live playback.
  • Which controls can affect live output.
  1. Use the left panel to find Inputs, Video, Graphics, Functions, Variables, and folder content.
  2. Build or edit rundowns in the right panel.
  3. Set the correct rundown On Air before live operation.
  4. Use cue/play/next/stop controls intentionally during production.
  5. Watch the bottom timers and status indicators throughout the show.

Best practices

  • Use the left panel for preparation and the rundown area for live decisions.
  • Collapse the left panel on smaller screens once the rundown is ready.
  • Treat red status lights as blockers before going live.
