Falcon Vision Mixer provides a browser control surface for configured vision mixer inputs, preview/program selection, PLAY NEXT, transition style, DSK, and upstream keyers.

  1. Open Falcon Vision Mixer.
  2. Confirm the status indicator is online.
  3. Select preview sources in the PVW row.
  4. Use transition style and duration for PLAY NEXT.
  5. Control DSK and upstream keyers as needed.
  6. Refresh inputs after configuration changes.

Best practices

  • Use PVW before PGM for live switching unless the production calls for direct cuts.
  • Keep transition duration consistent with the show style.
  • Document keyer usage per production to avoid conflicting overlays.
