Recommended workflow

Open Falcon Vision Mixer.
Confirm the status indicator is online.
Select preview sources in the PVW row.
Use transition style and duration for PLAY NEXT.
Control DSK and upstream keyers as needed.
Refresh inputs after configuration changes.

Buttons, fields, and controls

Control	What it does	When to use it
PGM row	Shows sources currently on program.	Use to verify live output.
PVW row	Selects sources for preview.	Use before taking a source live.
Transition style	Chooses mix/cut/dip/wipe/sting/DVE depending on mixer support.	Use before PLAY NEXT.
Transition duration	Sets transition duration in frames.	Use for non-cut transitions.
PLAY NEXT	Takes the prepared source according to transition settings.	Use for controlled live switching.
DSK controls	Controls downstream keyers.	Use for bugs, lower thirds, and overlays.
Upstream Keyer controls	Controls upstream keyers/MEs.	Use for DVE, SuperSource, and compositing.
Refresh	Reloads mixer inputs.	Use after Settings changes or reconnection.

Best practices

Use PVW before PGM for live switching unless the production calls for direct cuts.
Keep transition duration consistent with the show style.
Document keyer usage per production to avoid conflicting overlays.

Troubleshooting

Symptom	Likely cause	What to check
Status is offline	Mixer connection failed.	Check IP, type, profile, and network.
Input names are wrong	Settings profile is stale.	Refresh inputs and check Device Config.
Keyer source is wrong	Key input mapping is incorrect.	Review keyinputs_preview and layer settings.
