Functions are reusable automation blocks. They can run single or multiple actions across playback, graphics, vision mixer, audio, timing, and other connected production systems.

Recommended workflow
- Open the Functions tab.
- Create a function or open an existing one.
- Add actions in the order they should run.
- Use Resort Actions when the order needs to be normalized.
- Test with Run Actions before assigning it to live content.
- Add shortcuts or embed the function in video/graphic items when needed.

Best practices
- Name functions by outcome, not by implementation.
- Test functions on a non-critical output before using them in live rundowns.
- Keep one function focused on one production intention.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |

| Function runs but nothing happens | Target device or server is offline. | Check relevant status indicator and action target. |
| Actions run in wrong order | Action order or delay is misconfigured. | Review action list and use Resort Actions. |
