Falcon Play 0.8.2 – Changelog
Falcon Play 0.8.2 introduces several major usability improvements and stability fixes across video, graphics, and mixer integration.
This version focuses on smoother media handling, better ATEM synchronization, and a more efficient workflow inside both the Director and Media Manager interfaces.
New Features
Direct graphics cuts in vision mixer
It is now possible to cut directly to graphics servers from the vision mixer.
Note: full-screen graphics play without in/out animations to ensure instant transitions.
Grid View for Director Video Panel
The Video section in Falcon Play Director has received the same Grid View option, allowing faster navigation and clearer clip previews.
Fixes and Improvements
Vision Mixer Configuration
Changing the vision mixer configuration no longer requires restarting Falcon Play — updates are applied immediately.
Timer Synchronization
Fixed a long-standing timing drift where the rundown timer could be off by several seconds or even minutes. Timers are now precise and stable across sessions.
Keyboard Shortcuts
All global shortcuts now respond on keyUP instead of keyDOWN, preventing accidental double-triggers and making the workflow smoother during live use.
Audio Countdown Behavior
Countdown speech and audio cues are now only active on video servers, avoiding unnecessary triggers for other element types.
ATEM Integration
-
ME names from the ATEM vision mixer are now automatically displayed in dropdown menus within Vision Mixer Settings.
-
Input names are also pulled directly from the ATEM mixer, ensuring correct labeling and faster configuration.
