Falcon Rundown 1.3.19 Changelog
25 September 2026
This release adds presenter reading speeds and clearer prompter output, together with improvements to editing, chat polling and the mobile layout.
Text duration and Presenter
- Open Text duration and Presenter from the workspace action menu to create named presenter profiles. Each profile has its own reading speed, from 40 to 400 words per minute.
- Choose a default profile for new stories. Existing stories keep their saved presenter and reading speed, even if a profile is later edited or removed.
- The Story Editor combines text duration and presenter selection in one control, for example Text 00:00:16 (Sam). It sits on the left of the Last edit footer, away from the chat button.
- The footer uses compact 12 px text. The presenter control is hidden on phones and in narrow windows. A workspace-wide switch can hide it everywhere; it is on by default.
- Presenter name, profile ID and WPM are retained when stories are copied and are available in the story API for integrations. External products must support these values to use them; this release does not itself add automatic WPM control to Falcon Play or external prompters.
Prompter improvements
- New Hide footer and Fullscreen buttons provide a cleaner output.
- Move the pointer anywhere on the screen to reveal the lower-corner controls again. They fade after five seconds without pointer activity.
- Block markers and block-based story numbers help presenters see where they are in the show.
- The reading position is preserved when updated content is rendered. If a refresh fails, the current script remains visible.
- Mirroring no longer mirrors the recovery controls.
Workspace MOS settings
Publish Settings now includes the workspace NCS ID, gateway connection details, an enable switch and an allow-list of WinPlus MOS IDs. Settings are managed per workspace by an administrator. Enabling MOS requires at least one allowed MOS ID.
These are the Rundown-side connection settings. Receiving rundowns on external prompter software also requires a configured gateway and compatible receiving software.
Saving, sessions and polling
- Story saves require confirmation from the server before the corresponding draft is cleared or the editing lock is released. Newer edits made during a pending save are retained.
- Embedded rundown windows share login-recovery checks. Background requests pause after an expired session, and login can be checked again without discarding the open editor. A different account cannot resume the previous account's pending writes.
- Workspace chat unread counts are fetched together instead of one request per workspace. Polling avoids overlapping requests and retains the last known counts if a request fails.
- A stale story-lock list can recover through a controlled refresh without applying outdated responses to a newly opened rundown.
Mobile layout and other fixes
- Fixed the large empty space above the mobile Story Editor caused by desktop resize handles.
- Story drag is disabled on phones and tablets, but remains available on desktop Macs and Windows computers, including touch-enabled Windows laptops.
- Added protection against errors during multi-drag cleanup, text-node interactions and restoring an outdated caret position.
- Corrected access-denied audit logging without weakening permission checks.
- Fixed shared stylesheet paths for Prompter and Cuecards.
